Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about how OpenCity covers Pima County public meetings and civic data.

When does the Pima County Board of Supervisors meet?

The Pima County Board of Supervisors holds its Regular Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. MST in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room on the 1st Floor of the Pima County Administration Building, 130 W. Congress St., Tucson. A Study Session is typically held on the 2nd Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. before the Regular Meeting. Special meetings are also called as needed. Regular meetings moved to a 5:00 p.m. start in May 2026.

Where can I find Pima County Board of Supervisors agendas and minutes?

Agendas and minutes are published through the county's Legistar portal at pima.legistar.com, and are also indexed with full text search on OpenArizona meeting pages. Note that the document Legistar attaches immediately after a meeting is a Meeting Summary Report; the formally approved minutes are posted at pima.gov/cob once the Board approves them.

How can I watch Pima County Board of Supervisors meetings?

Meetings are livestreamed and archived on the county's YouTube channel (Pima County Arizona), which keeps a dedicated Board of Supervisors playlist going back several years. The county's Granicus archive at pima.granicus.com also carries recordings, but only for a rolling 90 days.

Who serves on the Pima County Board of Supervisors?

Five supervisors are elected by district to four-year terms. As of 2026: District 1 Rex Scott; District 2 Dr. Matt Heinz (Vice Chair); District 3 Jennifer Allen (Chair); District 4 Steve Christy; District 5 Andrés Cano. Arizona counties have no elected county executive — the Board elects a Chair from its own members each January, and day-to-day administration is run by an appointed County Administrator.

How do I comment at a Pima County Board of Supervisors meeting?
